Discovery Health Partners a finalist for Chicago Innovation Awards

ITASCA, IL (September 19, 2016) – LaunchPoint division Discovery Health Partners, a provider of payment integrity and population risk management solutions for healthcare payers, is named a top 100 finalist in the Chicago Innovation Awards. Chosen out of a record-breaking 643 entries, Discovery Health Partners’ Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) Validation solution is honored for its work helping Medicare Advantage plans recoup millions of dollars to their bottom lines by ensuring member healthcare premiums paid by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) are accurate. In addition to restoring $148 million across 27 health plans in the last three years, Discovery Health Partners’ innovation has helped clients optimize future revenue by correcting inaccurate eligibility information so that plans receive correct premiums and pay claims correctly in the future.

As part of the honor, Discovery Health Partners is invited to participate in The Practical Innovator, an executive education program at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. The top 25 finalists will be awarded at the 15th annual Chicago Innovation Awards on October 25th.

Annual gathering addresses challenges facing Medicaid managed care plans

Analytics-based subrogation, COB and eligibility services improve health plan’s visibility, reporting and reduction of claims payment errors

ITASCA, IL (April 28, 2014) – Discovery Health Partners’ cost containment support for New Mexico-based Lovelace Health Plan has resulted in $16 million in recoveries and revenue optimization in two years, announced the company.

A mid-sized health plan, Lovelace has realized nearly $7 million in subrogation and COB recoveries working with Discovery Health Partners. These savings are the result of improved data mining, analytics, and modernized workflow available through Discovery Health Partners’ Intelligent Cost Containment Platform, which allows quick and accurate identification of cases for recovery.

By adding Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) validation and premium restoration – a service that helps Medicare Advantage plans quickly and accurately validate MSP records, correct inaccurate records, and restore underpaid premium dollars – Lovelace has recovered an additional $7.1 million. A majority of these restorations were found within 120 days, with future revenue optimization forecast at $4.2 million annually.
